You're obviously very sincere about this issue, Pedro...

A lot of people are.

I'm a bit curious about why you ask me the same question, especially after I have answered you already and given you the basis for my answers.  I've expressed more than my opinion. I've expressed what I know...and what a lot of other folks know.  I'm not interested in debating this issue with you.  I'll save that for someone who doesn't understand that Hutto even exists.

I started battling against Hutto in October of 2006, five months after it was opened.  I did my first Hutto walk in December of 2006.  I'm glad that new energy like yours is coming in.  There are more battle fronts being waged that I'm involved in...like Endgame...but I've never backed off on Hutto.

You speak of May. This following video clip was also in May.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYwaxwY1THs  I protest around the country Pedro.  I protest Hutto every day...in different ways.

I commend you for you passion against Hutto.  Remember...the enemy is not a fellow activist.  The enemy is the ruling elite and the racist supremacists.  They want us focusing on the weaknesses of each other.  If we succumb to that viscous merry-go-round, they act like gross humans watching a cock fight.

We have to be wiser than the dark side.  We need to aim at these exploiters of the human family...and not fellow human rights activists.

As I've hinted, I'd rather not dialog more on this by e-mail.  It's too time consuming.

If you want to call and discuss this, that's cool.

Jay, in my own beliefs, I don't believe Hutto is a decoy or now grassroots opposition. It is a cause that if organizations want to be involved, they sure can. Some organizations and bands that were at Hutto on May 24th, 2008. Bands: Bombasta, James Perez y Karnaval, Karma, Arma Musical, Xemilla, and Iztli. Groups: Texas Indigenous Council, Amnesty International, Poder, UTSA MEChA Alumni, Cesar E. Chavez March for Justice, MADRES, Dallas Lulac, Code Pink, T5, Dialog Makers, Houston Sin Fronteras, Mexican American Advancement Project. Some people who you might recognize were present and some marched and protested at HUTTO on May 24th 2008: Antonio Diaz, Jina Gaytan, Roberto from Bombasta, Nick Calzoncit, Luissana Santibanez, Pedro Ruiz y Familia, and many more. Jay, in your own opinion, do you still think that HUTTO is a decoy and still grassroots opposition? Tell that to all the people who were present on May 24th 2008, not me. Not me because I refuse to believ e your theories based on the new battleground that children are placed in who knows where. Come up with a stronger theory with facts to base your assumptions and I will believe you. I once did the 25 mile Bataan Death March with a 40 pound rucksack through White Sands, New Mexico in 1995. That 6 hour march killed my feet, but not my spirit. Keep up the great work, and August 16 is open to everyone who wants to participate at the Hutto protest. Peace!
