I have being addressing the Private Prisons for Profit issue for years. Actually Prisons in general. From here in San Antonio to Ramonville and points in between. CCA, Wackenhut now named GEO, MTC, Cornell . Pearsall has two facilities run by GEO,its County Jail and South Texas Detention Complex for immigration. This is the facility where some of the guards used the female detainees as sex slaves. A woman from Guatemala was deported pregnant from a guard out of that Privately run GEO prison. Another Guatemalan woman was sexually violated at T.D.Hutto Family Residential Center in front of her daughter by a CCA guard . There is no accountability both employees of these private prisons for profit have yet to face any criminal charges.In Ramonville the detainees were being fed putrid meats, spoiled food not fit for animal consumption . Fed to fellow Human Beings to cut corners and increase profits for the shareholders. In Nixon TX. unaccompanied minors were being sexually violated. When caught the place was shut down and the teenagers dispersed throughout the states.In San Antonio Cornell employees physically assaulting the teens under their supposed care. All of these facilities are in partnership with either State or County government, at this level we the taxpayers have a voice we have to stay involved with our local government.
