If you had missed the meeting this past Saturday here are some minutes;
However, I can only recap, becuz I didn't take the minutes.
We discussed the following:
Partnership for Prescription Assistance, Texas - Jaime Martinez
We were all asked to meet with the bus and its staff on
Thrus. Oct. 19, 2006 from 10AM ~ 12PM
Mr. Jaime Martinez: Announced the Confirmed presence of : Ms. Rita Chavez (Cesar's older sister) & asked the ladies present to make sure Ms. Chavez was comfortable while as our guest here in San Antonio... Cecila Longoria, Claudia Sanchez & J.Gaytan, all agreed.
Aslo, announced a dinner to take place at 'La Villita' the evening of March 31,2007 ~ Please confirm.
Mr. J. Martinez: Announced we will be participating in the Martin Luther King march with Ms. Rosa ~ Please confirm w/Jaime Martinez or Claudia Sanchez
Reviewed a copy of the letter from Saul Arellano to president Bush, regarding the stay of his mother Elvira Arellano, whom since Aug. has taken refuge at the Adalberto United Methodist Church to avoid being seperated from her and deportation.
Tony Mandujano: Announced to get ready for Dia de Los Muertos by having the committee to book a place (San Fernando Church Center on Cesar E Chavez Ave.) by having an altar put together, by the Avenue/March Committee, in honor of Cesar E. Chavez' Legacy.I hope all is well and wish you a good evening.
Also considered to have committee members volunteer for the upcoming concert at Sunken Gardens Theatre on Friday Ocotber 27, 2006. "MUSICA SIN FRONTERAS" call Tony if you would volunteer to help set up at the Theatre (210-255-7647)

In discussion for motivational strageties to unite all immigrants under 1 umbrella; Mr. Garcia also discussed a possible patch for walk-out students and a base center in Odessa as point of contact for actvist students.
J. Gaytan - Has the role of communicating w/Ms. Uranga of Odessa, Tx & Paul Garcia to reach out for support from other immigrant groups, ie, Asian, Arab, Chineese, Irish, Carriabean and others to participate in a 'meeting of the minds' meeting for their participation in the Cesar Chavez march for Justice.
Other notes indicate: Friday Oct.13, 2006, small article & pic of Oct. 12th - S.A Exprs.
